Chemistry on this site is built around a single question: what is matter made of, and what happens when it reacts? The atomic models lesson traces how the picture of the atom changed as evidence accumulated, while the atomic structure lessons pin down protons, neutrons and electrons and show how to read an element’s atomic number and mass number straight off the periodic table.
The rest put those atoms to work: writing and balancing chemical equations, sorting acids, bases and alkalis on the pH scale and watching neutralisation happen, and proving that mass is conserved when a reaction is sealed in. Each lesson is free and pitched at Grade 6-11 and GCSE-level revision.
